WHAT WE CATCH

Wide Variety of Species

The waters surrounding Anna Maria Island offer a plethora of fish species to catch. Throughout the year we will target certain species due to annual migrations or water temperature. During the Spring, Tarpon have an annual migration up the West Coast of Florida from around April-June; It's quite the experience! The Mangrove Snapper move into Tampa Bay during the Summer months and can give anglers frenzied non-stop action. As the water starts to cool down progressing into Fall, Gag Grouper push into the Bay and during season make a great opponent. They're probably the strongest fish, pound for pound, in our area. During Winter, the water temperature drops into the low 60's; we start to fish for other species like Sheepshead, that tend to bite during those cooler temperatures. Throughout the year there are many species of fish we can target, a lot more than stated above!
